These terms apply to every order placed with Aurastu ("we", "us"), whether on this website, on WhatsApp, by email or in person. By placing an order you agree to them.
Handmade, natural products
Our furniture is made by hand from natural materials such as solid wood, cane, stone, leather and fabric. Grain, knots, colour and texture vary from piece to piece and may differ from photos and samples. Small marks, joins and irregularities are part of handmade work. These variations make each piece unique and are not defects.
Photos on this website are for reference. Some are styled or digitally edited; colours also vary between screens. Dimensions may vary by up to 2 cm.
Orders and prices
- All pieces are made to order. Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST unless stated.
- An order is confirmed when we receive the advance payment shown on your quote or invoice. The balance is due before dispatch.
- Lead times are estimates and start from the date the advance is received. We will keep you updated if anything changes.
- We may correct obvious pricing errors before confirming an order.
Changes and cancellations
You can change or cancel an order free of charge within 48 hours of paying the advance. After that, work has usually started, so the advance is non-refundable. Bespoke and custom-size pieces cannot be cancelled once drawings are approved.
Delivery, installation and returns
- Delivery and installation are free within Delhi NCR. Elsewhere, we quote delivery separately.
- Please make sure the piece fits through doors, lifts and stairways. Extra handling such as hoisting is charged at actual cost.
- Please check your order at delivery and note any damage on the delivery receipt. Report any issue within 48 hours, with photos.
- Because every piece is made for you, we do not accept returns for change of mind. Pieces damaged in transit or with manufacturing defects will be repaired or replaced.
1-year warranty
Every piece comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects in frames, joinery, structure and fitted hardware. Under the warranty we will repair or, where repair is not possible, replace the affected part or piece at no cost.
Not covered
- Natural variation, colour change or movement of wood, cane, leather or stone due to age, sunlight or humidity.
- Normal wear and tear, including fabric pilling, fading and softening of foam over time.
- Damage from misuse, accidents, water, pests, heat, overloading, or moving the piece without care.
- Repairs or changes made by anyone other than us.
Lifetime care
After the warranty ends, we continue to look after your furniture for as long as you own it. Touch-ups, re-polishing, re-upholstery and repairs are available at any time, at an added cost that we quote before any work begins.
Limitation of liability
- Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for injury, loss or damage caused by an accident, misuse, improper assembly or installation by others, use other than intended, or a failure to follow care instructions.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, pandemics or government action.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law that cannot be excluded.
Interior and bespoke projects
Interior design and bespoke projects follow a separate written quote that sets out scope, timelines and payment stages. Where that quote differs from these terms, the quote applies.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi.
